Office

Judy and her husband Danny began worshipping at Somers Avenue in 1983 and Judy served as church secretary from 1985-1993.  She retired from her position as Office Representative for Baptist-Health Lakewood Family Clinic in the fall of 2004 and began her work as Somers’ ministerial assistant in January 2006.  Judy assists the elders and ministers with special projects as requested, maintains the membership database, schedules monthly workers, and assists with website maintenance.

Ruth and her family first worshipped with us at Somers Avenue in the 1980’s. For fifteen years Ruth served as the Registrar for Northwood Junior High in the Pulaski County Special School District before a change in work moved them to Searcy, Arkansas. Ruth worked as receptionist for the Harding University Counseling Center and then as the Operations Manager with the Truth for Today World Mission School in Searcy.

We welcomed Ruth back to Somers Avenue in April 2010 to become secretary for the church. Ruth has two children and two grandchildren who keep her busy and doting.
