Mike & Mary Hughes Visit Brazil
The church at Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil celebrated its 20th anniversary on November 22nd and Mike Hughes, one of our shepherds along with his wife, Mary, were in attendance. Somers Avenue supports the work of Randal and Vicki Matheny in Sao Jose Dos Campos and it was a priviledge to have Mike and Mary represent the congregation in Brazil. Mike spoke twice during the day. He praised the brethren for their work and used the apostle Paul as an example of conversion and suffering for the cause of Christ. Randal translated into Portuguese for Mike during his lessons.
