About Us
After input from the body of believers at Somers Avenue, our shepherds have adopted the acronym H.O.M.E. to characterize our congregational mission. Each Christian has a duty to act upon what is called "The Great Commission" from Christ as found in Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-16. As a congregation, we commit to the charge of Christ in every teaching, activity, program, and mission we pursue by making sure it helps us to Honor God, Outreach to the community, Mature the church, or Encourage the family. We want Somers Avenue to be a place you can call H.O.M.E.
