Judy Rye - Ministerial Assistant

Judy has been involved with the church her entire life, having attended the Coy congregation where her dad served as an elder. She met her husband, Danny, in high school and introduced him to the Lord's church. They married soon after her graduation.

They have two sons who both graduated from Central Arkansas Christian School and Harding University.  Chad is employed with Verizon and resides in North Little Rock.  He has one son, Cole.  Kyle and his wife Sara reside in Pensacola where Kyle serves as the pulpit Minister for the Scenic Hills congregation.  Sara is working toward her degree in Elementary Education while employed as an Office Rep in a family practice clinic.

Judy and Danny, along with their sons, began worshiping with Somers Avenue in 1983.  Judy served as church secretary for Somers from 1985-1993.  She retired from her position as Office Representative for Baptist-Health Lakewood Family Clinic in the fall of 2004.  Judy began her work as Somer's Ministerial Assistant in January 2006.  Danny is the Customer Service Manager for Central Arkansas Water and serves as one of the elders at Somers.

Judy is thrilled at having her parents, Chester and Wilma Ingram, her son, Chad, and little grandson Cole, attending at Somers creating four generations of her family worshiping together.

'It is such a blessing to once again be working with my home congregation. I have worked in a variety of positions through the years and none are as rewarding as working with your church family. My goal is to use the gifts and skills that God has provided me to contribute to the effectiveness of our Elders and Ministers through administrative support allowing them to focus on their areas of ministry."
